7-Eleven TH earns sought-after Tech Women’s Award in Huawei Global App Contest
7-Eleven TH has been awarded the Tech Women’s Award in the latest edition of the Huawei Global App Innovation Contest ("Apps UP 2022"), a contest that recognizes women developers across the world creating best-in-class experiences for Huawei’s app ecosystem.
The Tech Women’s Award provides female tech leaders and talent with a global stage to showcase their achievements, and a chance for companies to demonstrate their dedication to gender equality and inclusiveness in the workplace. The award recognises the most impressive achievements amongst teams with a significant portion of female leadership and technical talent.
Out of 5.4m registered developers across 170 countries, CP All Plc. and Appsynth picked up the award for APAC in recognition of their work together developing the 7-Eleven TH app.
Upon receiving the award, Appsynth’s CEO Bob Gallagher noted: “For several years the 7-Eleven TH app has been managed by a significant number of female leaders across CP All and Appsynth, who’ve done an amazing job shaping it to become the most popular lifestyle app in Thailand. In such a male dominated industry, we are really proud of both companies’ commitment to gender equality and inclusiveness.”
With fun and engaging campaigns, promotions and games, 7-Eleven TH has become the #1 app for Thai consumers to enjoy deals and rewards every day. The app enables customers to shop anywhere, anytime, with 7-Delivery providing on-demand delivery of in-store items, and All Online unlocking an even greater catalog of items delivered on the next day.
Outside of banking, 7-Eleven TH is now the most installed Thai app of all time across all mobile platforms, and it saw massive adoption amongst Huawei’s rapidly growing user base of 10m+ Thai customers after launching on the platform.
