HappyFresh, Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing online grocery platform, is launching four new dark stores in Bangkok and nearby vicinities, as part of its strategic expansion in Thailand. These outlets, which are exclusively designed for online delivery, are located at Rama 9 Center, Prachachuen Center, Saphan Sung Center, and Phasi Charoen. In conjunction with the  opening of the new facilities, HappyFresh has also launched the “GO BIG Free Delivery All Orders” campaign, which will offer five million baht worth of discounts, including a 50 percent discount for first-time users and up to 700 baht for existing users.

According to Google's e-conomy report, Thailand’s 2021 GMV is expected to increase by 51 percent YoY to a total value of US$30 billion. The steep increase is underpinned by a 68 percent growth in e-commerce. Thailand’s overall internet economy is projected to reach US$57 billion in value in 2025, based on a 17 percent CAGR.

“Thailand is a country with strong growth potential. The launch of our four dark stores in Bangkok and nearby vicinities is in line with Thai consumers’ increasing online shopping expectations. By increasing Thai consumers’ access to our stores, we hope more people will be able to experience the joys of shopping at HappyFresh Supermarket,” said David Lim, SVP Marketing of HappyFresh (Thailand) Co., Ltd. “We are also offering a 50 percent discount so Thai consumers can better enjoy an array of quality products including fresh meat, fruits, and vegetables.”
